I know what you mean about shopping and the temptations with the foods we use to eat and can't eat now. I have three kids and I can't expect for them to scarifice what they like because I can't eat the same things anymore.

I was at the store yesterday, buying foods mostly for my diet, but I did get a few choc. long johns for my son...who can eat anything and never put of weight....ahh to be young with a high metabolism. Anyway, my daughter that is a litte underweight ask for me to get her some chocolate brownie Ben and Jerry ice cream, and my baby daughter...pop tarts, etc. I did buy some treats for them, but not once did it distract me or get me tempted. Sams club especially has many booths set up where you can sample different foods and I just whisk past them, no smoothies (which I love), it's okay though.

It is all those foods over a peiord of time that got me into this situation and I can say no thanks now.

Best Wishes and remain strong and determined!

Wow! I really do hope I get to that point soon where it's not such a struggle to say "no." I admire your resolve. Wow! I'm really impressed you can be so strong like that to buy snacks for your children and be OK. It's this kind of inspiration that keeps me going. I lost another pound and a half since yesterday. That right there also gives me happy joy-joy feelings.

GOOD for you... preparing yourself before you hit the grocery store is SOOO critical... About 4 days before I began my induction... I took my sister shopping... I walked through the store with her... and came out 35 bucks later with all kinds of crap... I was walking in old familiar steps... SO I am strategic about every visit I make to any store where there is food or old habits.

By you asking for support here, for your trip to the store...you set yourself up wit mini expectations! that is a great motivator knowing we are all here to think about you and push you on to reach your goals!

GOOD FOR YOU! YOU SHOULD BE PROUD!

I worried for just a moment I was going to sound too needy coming here for motivation. But I have been so pleasantly surprised at how much all of you actually really care about one another. At a moments notice you helped me feel important and worthy. It is my hope to be able to return the kindness back however I can because I am so truly appreciative. So much gratitude I feel in my heart for everyone and these forums. This has been so emotional for me, I could cry just from the joy I feel everytime I log into these forums. If any of you ever want to chat or message, by all means I'm available! Hee-hee.
