  • Day 6 of Induction

It's the morning of day 6 and at weigh-in I'm 5 pounds down! I wiggled on the scale a bit, a little unsure of what i was seeing. I was a little skeptical of seeing results on atkins, i had been a vegetarian for 8 years and although i've been eating meat now for the past 5 months i thought atkins might not work so well for me but it is!
My SW was 231 my CW 226 and my GW 160.

Thanks for the kudos everybody, it helps keep me on track! I"m leaving for SC tomorrow on a long road trip. I checked beef jerky at target today and they ALL have several grams of carbs. I was thinking hardboiled eggs but do you guys have any other suggestions for snacks i could take on a long, hot road trip? i don't have a cooler unfortunately..

if you have time you can get a food dehydrater and make your own beef jerky.

also check out the snacks forum under recipes cause there's tons of good ones.

pepperoni slices nuked on a paper towel in the mic for about 45 secs. Put in plastic baggies...these are addicting and lots of sodium. Be cautious. YUMMY! Cheese strings.
