    Re: veggie question

    Low Carb Broccoli Cheese Soup
    • 2 cans low sodium chicken broth
    • 2 bags frozen chopped broccoli, no sugar or salt added
    • 3/4 lb cheese, cut into cubes
    • salt and pepper
Bring broccoli and broth to boil, simmer 5 minutes, and add Cheese cubes. Heat on low until cheese melts, add salt and pepper to taste. If soup is too thick, add heavy cream to thin to desired consistency.

Makes 6 servings. Approx 4 net grams of carbohydrate per serving.

Sooo... Fitday is really that inaccurate? Man, I had no idea. I compared some of the stuff to the spreadsheet and it's WAY different.

        Thanks Bonnie,

Well, Paul I find it very tendious to have to customize all the veggies to account for net vs total carbs. I have decided to keep a manual spreadsheet daily along with Fitday. Give me a week and I can give you a report See....the real problem is I'm too much of a perfectionist and hate lack of control

Erika, you don't have to go to all that bother. If you go to the goals tab on the right and enter a number for fiber, Fitday will calculate the net carbs for you.

              Re: veggie question

You know I'm not sure. This is my mom's recipe. But I think if you just account for how much you use and use what you like depending on how broccoli"y" you want it you'll be fine as long as you use that measurement to calculate your own net carb count!
