      Re: Snacks

hard boiled egg? an ounce of cream cheese (with or without pumpkin puree)? ground flax with some heavy cream and splenda?

I wouldn't eat the chocolate bar... I'm assuming you're talking about sweetened but not with sugar since I think Baker's chocolate is nasty... I think it'd remind me too much of chocolate and I wouldn't stop eating it at just a little bit... and then would want more and that slippery slope just isn't worth it for me.

        Re: Snacks

a lot of times when we are craving a sweet snack, protein is what we need. some splenda and vanilla in cream cheese is really tasty (a tiny bit of the vanilla or you'll just taste the alcohols in it)

what kind of vanilla are you talking about adding to the cream cheese? I just checked my bottle of vanilla extract and it has corn syrup it.

              Re: Snacks

You can add a little sugar free vanilla syrup and exclude the splenda (at least that's what I do)...

Organic Vanilla doesn't generally have corn syrup in it! One of my co-workers uses "NOW" Organic Vanilla Extract, no sugar or corn syrup. She has some from moving here from California. I haven't looked into where I can buy some except on Netrition.com Here's the link NOW Foods Organic Vanilla

It's more expensive than regular vanilla. My McCormicks is 4 oz (w/ corn syrup in it!) and it was like $4 at the commissary. This stuff is $5 for 2 oz. But it seems to me I need much less.

Also check things like vanilla extract for alcohol on the ingredients list!
