  • Question about menu

    I purchased the fitday desktop version. I put in my foods today and a little confused. Do I look at the Grams, Calories or %-Cal for my carbs? Plus I realize by writing this down that I seriously need to watch my portions for dinner.

    This is what it looks like, wondering if I goofed somewhere.

    Fat 112 1,000 67%
    Carb 10 36 2%
    Fiber 2
    Protein 106 451 30%


    This is what I ate today -

    3 scrambled eggs
    .5 oz of chedder graded cheese
    sprinkle of bacon bits
    3 jalapeno peppers

    Lunch
    .5 oz of cheddar graded cheese
    2 cups Mixed salad (romain, iceberg)
    1 tablespoon blue cheese dressing
    sprinkle of bacon bits

    Dinner
    2 beef patties with oopsie buns (portion control needed for the future, i was still hungry..uggh)
    Slice of tomato on both
    slice of lettuce on both
    mayonaise

    Thanks for the help. I did by the book this evening and plan on reading starting tonight.

    Your percentages are pretty right on. I go with right around 60% fat 35% protein and 5% carbs

    As long as you are hungry go ahead and eat as long as it's within the induction menu and induction rules and 20 or less net carbs per day.

    Are you deducting the fiber from your carbs? You can add fiber to be one of the things you track on fitday, but someone else might have to help you because i use another site.

      Thank you! I hope to get the hang of this. I set it up to track Fiber, it is at 2 grams. The Carbs were at 10 grams.

      What site do you use?

        I go on sparkpeople.com sometimes i like it just because i am used to it... have been using it for 2 years and have quite the database of "personalized" foods and goals, so I didn't switch when I came over here... and I have a lot of friends on their threads too
