  • Red Raspberry Leaf Tea

I looked through the forum here and did not come across any posts about this. It is an herbal tea, I make it hot from a tea bag and drink 4 mugs a day, I use it for medical purposes.

Herbal teas are okay, but they must be satisfy the requirements for this diet (See the rules of Induction and the acceptable foods list). Also they do not count towards your daily minimum water requirement of 64 ounces.

Megs...the tea would be out because of the raspberry right? Just want to be clear because I've been steering clear from a raspberry green tea I love.

Check what is says in parenthesis next to "herbal tea". If it fits that and Induction Rule #4, then you should be okay.

Raspberry leaf tea should be just that--the leaves of the raspberry plant. If you see key words like "dried fruit", "natural flavorings", "fruit juice", put it back on the shelf and walk away from it.

The raspberry tea is ok. I use it as well for my PCOS. it is an herb of rasberry not actual fruit based. So like she said, it doesn't count toward your drink minimum, so you can drink it! :wave

You want to know a crazy thing? Since I started Atkins last year this time, my cycles have been pretty much bang on predictable! I've never had a regular period in my life until last year...it's nuts!

I've experienced the same thing. My TOMs were erratic and sometimes were long. The first couple of months on Atkins, my TOMs normalized to 28 day cycles.

Part of it had to do with the weight loss I'm sure....
