A nice spoon of Redi Whip! You can even freeze it for a mousse-like consistency.

NO BARS!!! lol.... Those are the worst things, in my opinion, that the Atkins name was ever, ever put on. I also believe the gum and breath mints etc are bad, as they can cause blood sugar spikes from the sweetener.
I just want to say, please, please try to not give in to the temptation, even if the desert is induction friendly. For me, and I am just speaking for myself here, I found it much harder to stick with the program when I had even induction approved sweets while in the beginning. It completely defeated the purpose of getting out of bad habits, rewiring my thinking, and really staying on plan. If you are craving sweets, you can take 500mg of L-glutamine before meals, and it really helps. You cant break a habit with giving in, even if it is "approved". Again, please dont be offended by my opinion, I am just trying to share from personal experience.
If you dont agree with my thoughts, there are several induction cheesecake and pumpkin recipes on the site here in the recipes forum, and on Lindas locarb site.
Whichever you choose, good luck, and dont shoot me for my message *please* !!! LOL

Thanks for all the replies!!!
I think I'm going to try these....they say they taste like cheesecake.
CREAM CHEESE CLOUDS
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2-3/4 cup granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda *
1/2 teaspoon vanilla or other flavoring
Beat everything with an electric mixer until fluffy. Drop by bite-size spoonfuls onto a wax paper-lined baking sheet. Freeze until firm, at least 1 hour. Store in the freezer and eat frozen.
Makes 24 clouds

Hi there,Originally posted by jek3fl View PostBeen doing induction for 6 days now and down 8lbs!!!!! However, I need something sweet. I'm craving dessert. What do u recommend?
I would recommend taking L-Glutamine. It will take away the sweet cravings. You're allowed 3000 mg a day. Dr. Atkins discusses it on page 136 DANDR. If you would like more information about it, let me know, i'd be happy to share it with you.
It's best to tame the sweet craving beast inside rather than keep feeding it. L-Glutamine totally works. I know from experience.
L-Glutamine is an excellent supplement to curb sweet cravings.
Wishing you the best of health and lite.

When I was a newbie, the very wise moderators here used to say "Kill your sweet tooth, by starving it to death." This was because the more you fed the sweet tooth, the more it wanted.Originally posted by jek3fl View PostBeen doing induction for 6 days now and down 8lbs!!!!! However, I need something sweet. If you want "dessert", then eat something high in fat, like a piece of cheese. Be aware of things like whipped cream in a can, because they often contain sugar.
Also be aware that the Atkins bars, shakes, etc. have been known to stall or slow weight loss in some people. So we, at ADBB, do not recommend their use during the first 14 days of this diet because these 14 days are very important to how the rest of our Atkins proceed. I realize that people will say that they eat a bar everyday and lose weight "just fine". Well, unless those people have compared their weight loss with the bars to their weight loss without the bars, they really can't say they are losing weight "just fine". So be aware of this.

Any place where they sell vitamines and natural supplements you can find L-Glutamine. Your healthfood store. I can't remember how much it is but I know it's not expensive.

Re: Need something sweet! Oh yeah...and I'm down 8lbs!
In the past, eating protein with fat always worked... it filled me up and I forgot about any craving I would have..
Reach for some egg or chicken salad and see what happens, and of course, water!
1 tbsp of cream cheese melted with 1 tbsp pumpkin - but really it always made me want more.....
It's hard, I've been there too.... think of your weight loss.
Keep us updated on your progress!! Congrats!
