  • Snowed in!!

I have to let everyone know how hard these last couple of days have been for me!! I am here in Oregon and have been snowed in since Monday. I have been on induction since 12/8, so this is my second week on induction. My sister and I have a tradition when it snows that we go over to each others house and stay the night and bake cookies..dips..and
some kind of comfort food...like lasagna/spagetti/or Pasta Milano. Gee... so we still got together and baked cookies.....and I didn't have even ONE. I enjoyed my roasted chicken and Jalepeno Poppers.....YUMM! So I have lost a total of ten pounds and am going strong. Oh and when something looks too tasty to eat, I just take a really really long sniff of it!! And imagine eating it without the guilt!! It really works!!

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

        Re: Snowed in!!

I feel your pain! I am just south of Seattle and freaked out by snow driving. (I made a trip down there during the summer to visit the Sonic we brought an ice chest and brought back goodies).Anytime the roads clear I make a dash out for salad fixins and anything else I can get my hands on. You have done a great job modifying your diet and making it festive anyway. I just lived through the cookie baking too and it is so nice to come away feeling great and strong. My concern is that the weather will be like this for a while. Keep up the good work!

Well done for resisting the cookies. Jalepeno poppers beat cookies every time in my opinion x

That's great! You give me some hope. My boyfriend is coming to stay with my family over the holiday, and my sister and I are planning on making cookies and other baked goods for him and for our extended family's Christmas party. I've been afraid I won't be able to resist, but maybe I can.
