Those British, it's like they can't speak English!!! Just Kidding!!!! I love how the British have such cute names for things... it almost is like a second language. Either that or we Americans have butchered the language... I'm sure that's what they'd say. ;-)

Anyways, I paid $4.59 for a head of califlower today. I almost had a cow!

I feel better, then. I paid around $3.00 for a head and I thought that was high!! My has browns didn't turn out well at all. I bought a grater though to try this again. Heat was probably too high and I didn't have the cauliflower grated. Mine was more like creamed as I only had a drink mixer to break it down. I'm hoping that was part of what made it yucky. Must try this again!

On a side note...I laughed when my son hollered from his bed, "Mom, what's that smell???" as I cooked these. He was even more disappointed if not disgusted when he got up and found his mixer he uses for chocolate ice cream shakes was crusted with bits of cauliflower. It was funny!

lol! That is funny.

My son is always disappointed too when I make a nice casserole (faux macafoni) with the califlower and it looks so beautiful, but he thinks it's disgusting because of the califlower in it.... which is a good thing for me or he'd eat it all!!! So I surprise him sometimes and make him the same things with potatoes and he loves it. (18 yr old athletes need the carbs apparently)
