Re: Splenda YES.. vs Splenda NO

I love honey too. I always wanted to have my own backyard beehives. Just a few. Not to get this thread off topic or anything, but could you tell me how I could get started?

Oh now THAT would be a difficult temptation to fight! I particularly love orange blossom honey and sweet clover. Is it a hobby for you? I find it intriguing.

I raise them because some of the crops I raise need bees, and I just plain ole love them. Bees are truly marvelous.

What about stevia? It is an herb and has no chemical additives... 0 carbs, 0 GI, 0 calories and all natural. Is this an acceptable alternative?

Yes, stevia is allowed (it has been recently approved as a sweetener in fact) as long as you don't mind the taste. It tastes a little... herbal :P

I use stevia for example. I didn't like it at first, but I slowly got used to it.

              Great!

I've been having issues with artificial sweeteners. I don't like the taste of some and as others have mentions, some give me migraines.

I've been trying to learn to drink my tea with just a tad of cream to offset the bitterness, but I can't get used to the "no sweet" taste....It is just too bitter for me to drink unsweetened.

I may try the Stevia. It may be exactly what I need. Is it available in grocery stores yet or still only online? (I admit, I haven't read up on it lately)

I don't know where you live... I bought mine from a grocery store when I was in Baltimore.
