    Wow, this made me feel a lot better. I was starting to get discouraged this week, 3rd week and I not only haven't lost weight, I feel bloated. This makes sense. Thanks!

        Thanks for this, Im week four and no weight loss this week, im doing everything rght, and was beginning to think, its clearly not for me..but maybe ill try pushing on.. my keto stix arent turning anymore though.. cant understand why.. urrghhh...

          Good luck! If you're still stalling or want to give up Atkins, maybe you should try South Beach. My mom did Atkins and stayed on induction for 5 weeks and lost no weight. She was very discouraged. Then she started SB and lost 5 lbs the first week! It's all about what works for you and makes you feel the best.

          It was the opposite for me though, SBeach didn't work, but Atkins does.

            Sometimes I think the scale can be our worst enemy. There are times when the scale does not budge, but I know I am doing something right because I am able to fit into slacks that I hadn't been able to wear in quite some time. That in itself is a motivation for me.

              I am so glad I found this! In the past, I just would have given up and carbed it up! I am so frustrated being 4.5 weeks into the Atkins WOE and all I have lost is 6 pounds, which all occured in the first week or so of the diet, and I presume it was all water weight to begin with. I am hoping in the next month or so that I will see a drop in my weight! Thank you to everyone on the ADBB for keeping me motivated this time!

                I appreciate this post. It's exactly what I needed right now. I am starting week 4 and was feeling discouraged at the little to no weight I have loss. Thanks for all of you with your great posts and encouraging messages. I will definitely keep going and continue to be grateful for having control of my appetite and my life not being controlled by food.

                  Ditto.. this explains my pattern of losses.. this ADBB is just the best tool.. there is so much info and supporting articles to keep me going. Thanks again to all of you wise members.

                    Thankyou so much for posting that! It's very encouraging, I do love to know the science behind these things! If I'm not losing for a while even though I know i haven't cheated once then i feel like quitting, but if i know why i'm not losing, and it's okay, i feel a whole lot better
