Are pork skins allowed while in the Induction phase?

    Thanks

    Re: pork skins?

Yes, you can have them on induction. They are a great snack food. They are salty, so they might cause you to retain water. The BBQ ones have sugar, so stay with the plain ones.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

OMG I love these. I use the unsalted ones, crush them up in a bowl, add some cinnamon, and splenda, with a little heavy cream, put in microwave for about 30 seconds.. mmmm kinda like an oatmeal.

Did they list dextrose or another word for sugar? I've seen the red hot spicy ones without some form of sugar, but never the BBQ ones.

I've checked all the major brands of the BBQ flavor and didn't find any without sugar and most have wheat, etc.

                  Utz brand:
"Ingredients: Pork Rinds, Sugar, Salt, Wheat Flour, Torula Yeast, Soy Flour, Monosodium Glutamate, Dehydrated Tomato, Onion, Spices, Extractives of Paprika, Maltodextrin, Tricalcium Phosphate, Ground Chili Pepper, and Garlic."

INGREDIENTS: Pork Rinds, Salt, Tortula Yeast, Paprika, Sugar, Flavoring, Modified Food Starch Monosodium Glutamate.
Golden Gourmet brand (my favorite brand of plain):
Ing: pork skins, corn flour, salt, paprika, dextrose, corn starch, sugar, spices, mono- sodium glutamate, tomato powder, onion, ex- tract of paprika, hydrolyzed corn protein, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, caramel color, garlic, natural flavor, citric acid, natural smoke flavor. **Contains: Soy Ingredients.
                  Baken-ets brand:
Fried Pork Skins, Salt, Sugar, Maltodextrin, Onion Powder,Tomato Powder, Modified Food Starch, Brown Sugar, Monosoduim Glutamate, Dextrose, Chill Pepper, Spices, Garlic Powder, vinegar Solids, Molasses, Natural Smole Flavor, Sodium Diacetate, Natural Flavors (including Paprika), Citric Acid, Artifical Colors, Disodium Inosinate, Sisodium Guanylate, and Worcestershire Flavoring (Molasses, Vinegar, Corn Syrup, Salt, Caramel Color, Garlic, Sucrose, Tamarind).

I love the Mexican Pork rinds and I bought a bag this afternoon, I was going to divide it into servings. Forget it, I ATE THE WHOLE THING

I didn't even like pork rinds until I started Atkins and FORCED myself to eat them! I couldn't imagine eating fried pork skin. Yuck! Now I have to hide them from me (like in the trunk of my car) or immediately crush them for recipes, or I eat the whole bag!

Nowadays I only buy small packs (17 gram/about 3/4 ounce) to help me with portion control.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Are the BAKEN-ETS not allowed since they list sugar in the ingredients?
