Mags Mom - that is awesome that you are sticking with induction even though you are down! I had a mock danish yesterday, not bad at all.

My weight is up this morning, and I know its because I did not eat enough on Wed or Thurs...nor did I drink enough water. I am taking more care for the next 3 days, planning my meals like I should.

Chin up! and drink your water. Oh and I hate miracle whip, I'm a mayo girl

Hi everyone! I'm just checking in. I'm excited to have made it this far into induction! I actually got a fever and think I had a "real" bug for a few days. I'm feeling much better. I haven't cheated at all, even at mexican dinner out last night.

I hope everyone else is doing well. I haven't heard much. Who is going to stay on induction after Monday? I am.. at least for one more week.

      Cheers!

Hi Mags -- you don't say what type of exercise you are doing or how long each day....why don't you go to the area where you can post your menu and see if anyone can figure out if you're doing something they can correct. You said you were "way under calories" -- we don't count calories - just carbs. If you are under then eat more veggies or go get a piece of meat and dunk it into mayo -- get your fat burner going.

When I get upset I go out walking....last night I was having a bad night so I took the dog and we went out for a half hour briskly walking - when we got home the pedometer said we'd walked 2 miles and guess what, I felt so much better (and less upset) when I got back. I also put a TV tray over the handlebars on my bike and went from riding 2 maybe 3 miles at a time to riding 10 miles without realizing it....I have my DANDR book, my 30oz water jug and the remote for the TV and I start riding...while I'm reading and drinking I can also keep up on the news, or anything else on TV. How about dancing -- put some fast music on and start dancing away, if you are up doing these things you'll forget your troubles for awhile....good luck

My exercise is walking - about 3 miles every other day. When I said I was "under calories" I meant that I had only had a few pieces of bacon that day. I was not hungry but forced myself to eat something so I wouldn't go more than 6 waking hours without eating. I am going to post my menu on "review my menu" -

the good news is I may not have lost any weight but I am 2 inches smaller in my waist, one quarter inch smaller in my arms and 1 inch smaller in my thighs. I still can't fit into my "October jeans" yet...(these are the jeans that I almost didn't get last October because they were a little big, well now they are way too small!)

I too stopped losing after 6 or so days. I think I was not eating enough..... So, I ate more yesterday, and drank more water. I will continue this and see if this helps.

Hey Guys! Today is my fourteenth day and I am down 5lbs I am so excited. I've decided to stay on induction another week only because I've not organised my shopping list for this week. My scales tell me a different story but i am taking todays readings as gospel....More so, i know from the way my clothes are fitting me that I've lost weight. For some reason I still cant bring myself to exercise.... still feel tired. Maybe need to up my water intake.

Thanks for all your support guys, you've been great.

Checking in as day 14...First two weeks completed. Same diet this last week, lost 12lbs over the 2 weeks. I think I may of made it to the magic 14 but the last 3 days I've only been able to walk as exercise because my surgical wound in my leg was swollen.

Rhondascissorhands I was having trouble eating the amounts of food until I realised Bok Choy was a salad. It's great stir-fried and shrinks down in size like Spinach does

I got on the scale today and I lost 5.5 lbs on my 2 week induction. I was happy with the results but wish I had lost more - I need to lose a total of 56 lbs.

I am considering continuing with induction phase - does anyone have any advice recommendation about this? Would I lose faster if i stay on induction or should I move to the next phase?

It doesn't appear that I am metabolically resistant (which I thought I would be) but I would like to see more progress....Thanks for any help!

oops...I take back what I said about metabolically resistant - - - it appears that I am right in the middle between HIGH and AVERAGE on the chart. I think I have decided to do induction for 2 more weeks since I am between the 2, had gestational diabetes, and family history of Type 2 diabetes (in ""normal" weight females).

                      Any advice/suggestions welcome! Thanks

Going to the rungs is a personal decision mags....the first time I stayed an additional week then started up the rungs but I got sick (virus going around here) the 2nd week of my rungs but I continued to go through them and just didn't get any results.

We have about the same amount of weight to loose, but remember, you aren't going to loose it overnight, none of us are...this is a long term commitment. Be happy with the weight you have lost and continue to move forward. Just remember, the first two weeks of a clean induction you will loose the most amount of weight because it cleanses your system - after that the real work starts.

My first induction in January I lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks....this time I lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks but hey, I'm thrilled with those 5 pounds because I had to work harder to loose them. I didn't eat less, I worked out more so the pounds hopefully will turn into smaller measurements when I check them next time!

Good luck to all of us -- have a great low-carb week!!

Good job to everyone! I feel very proud for sticking to the two weeks, and I'm proud of you guys too!

Magsmom... I too didn't loose as much as I "thought" I might have in the first two weeks. HOWEVER.. It is great to lose ANY amount of pounds. Also, the number on the scale always fools me. My clothes are too big, my bra doesn't fit right, and I just feel different. I'm sure you also notice changes that the scale might not read to you.

Ihatemyfat... I'm staying on induction for at least another week too. Congrats on the 5lbs! You're getting so close to goal, I'm kinda jealous.

If anyone wants to message me for a more "buddy system" I'd be happy to be and have the support.

How is everyone doing? It seems everyone has stopped posting here so it will be nice to see how things are going for everyone.

I lost 5 pounds my 2nd time through induction (good for my age, health problems & 2nd time through) - and I've lost an additional 3 pounds since then so I'm very happy since I hadn't lost for quite awhile. Hope everyone is following the rules correctly and are still on plan.

I'm still here and following the rules

I did a very clean 2 weeks, then in the third week (I was going to stay on induction) I didn't do very well. No cookies or icecream, but just too many starchy carbs. I went out of ketosis. This week (4), I'm back on a very strict induction menu. I plan on keeping it up until a good 20lbs are gone.
I've been blogging to keep myself on track. Also going to the gym more!

I know I lost 10lbs in the first two weeks and kept them off. I haven't weighed in a while, so I'm curious to see now!

                              Good luck!
