  • Re: Anyone starting Atkins tomorrow! (16th March)

I stopped weighing myself everyday, just once a week now. But I fit into my "skinny jeans" that I havent worn in over a year! I need to get some measuring tape...

      Ashley,

I had a hard time with the cheese too. I bought a digital scale (about $25) and actually weighed out the cheese allotment for the day. It really helped!
As for the splenda, if you are able to count each packet as 1 carb, and still keep under the 20 carbs, you should be okay. However, try eliminating it for a while and see if anything changes.

My favorite snack is sliced turkey or ham rolled up with cream cheese and sprouts! Moderate the cream cheese, but it sure is tasty!

I don't know about the bacon... I found some that is natural, not cured with sugar. But I got it at a local butcher.

      Good luck to you!

Our Walmart has bacon with no sugar added - also watch sausage because it has sugars in it also....you just have to watch the ingredients very careful. I've also heard Trader Joe's has bacon without sugar also.

            It's... Not French Toast
            Ingredients:
1/2 of a 3-oz. bag of unflavored pork rinds
            2 eggs
            1/4 cup heavy cream
            3 pkts Splenda®
            1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon egg nog extract [optional]

Crumble pork rinds up until they resemble bread crumbs (use your food processor if you like - or put them in a Ziploc bag - air removed - and roll them with a rolling pin.) Set aside.

Beat eggs well and then mix with remaining ingredients and beat again. Add crushed pork rinds to the egg/cream mixture and allow to sit for approximately 5 minutes. Mixture will thicken to a "gloppy" phase during this time.

Meanwhile, heat skillet or griddle with butter or oil, and when hot, fry pancake style until golden brown on both sides. Serve with your favorite low-carb maple syrup (DaVinci, Keto, Atkins, Howards, etc, etc.)

If you don't tell someone who eats them, they will never have a CLUE that these little french toast pancakes are made with pork rinds. And everyone loves 'em. Really. Yeah, really. Would I kid you?

Less than 1 carb per serving.

theses are great... look like pancakes, they didnt need any syrup.. just butter.

              Hi everyone!

Its great to see everyone is still on plan. I've kept to plan so far though i've not weighed myself since the last time. I feel bloated and heavy (Tom visiting soon) so I decided to not weigh myself - so as not to discourage myself.... I've kept to plan maybe using to much cream cheese and cream but not had anything illegal. I need to make it through this weekend, all this chocolate staring at me. I'v got 12 massive easter eggs, cant wait for Tuesday will leave them in the kitchen at work, I am sure they will find a good home..lol

              Happy easter all
