Nice to hear from another new ADBBer. This is a great 'treat' for me when my husband is having his nightly ice cream (makes it much easier to resist).

        Re: Craving Crispy

Ive got late night potato chip eaters at home. And it's my downfall...Im addicted to those horrible things! BUT...I feel that with these to nibble on, I can resist the chips.

Thanks for starting this thread! I love the suggestions! I love pork rinds, but I LOVE the crispy cheese idea and don't know why I didn't think of it myself, because when I'd make cheese toast..the burned cheese that would run off the edge of the bread was always the tastiest! lol

For the time being, I have beat the craving with pork rinds. Great suggestion, Slapshot. They have waaaaay too much sodium, but I don't think this once is going to kill me.
Congrats on finding a legal substitute & beating that craving

Me, Too! I always loved the cheese on pizza that escaped the crust and got brown and crispy. Same with grilled cheese.

Sounded so good I had to make a quick late night snack. I didn't have any cheddar, but provolone was on hand..hubby just took it out of the toaster oven for me..Oh my gosh..looks fabulous! I'm going to let it cool and crisp up for a few minutes...I don't even have to describe how wonderful this is gonna be! Next time..cheddar, all the way!

i always make those chesse chips, i dont leave it in there long enough to get really brown but i dont mind having some bits crispy and some bits are just melted and warm i love it.

                    Re: Craving Crispy

And don't forget that for a special taco meal you can make a giant cheese crisp and shape it before it cools and hardens!!

I sometimes make cheese bowls by draping large cheese crisps over a small bowl or saucer for festive individual edible dishes - filled with lowcarb snacks they look good and don't need to be washed afterwards.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
