  • Gah, fell off the wagon yesterday

Too much detail to explain, but long story short, yesterday was insane and by the time I got around to making dinner for the family last night at 7pm, I discovered that my induction-friendly chicken dish should have been marinating overnight.

I was exhausted enough to be resemble the walking dead at this point, so I made spaghetti for everyone else, and I ate just meatballs cooked in the sauce. I tried to scrape sauce off, but still... The good news is that I also had a nice plate of broccoli and two celery sticks with cream cheese.

I really should read my recipes ahead of time, but I suppose this isn't suprising given that I'm the worst cook ever to walk into a kitchen, LOL.

For the future, try keeping some low carb foods handy. A salad with some blue or feta cheese and canned chicken is easier to prepare than pasta.

Good to hear you're back on track today.

Just don't beat yourself up over it! We all have days like that but the important thing is that it's over and you are back on plan!

Meatballs cooked in spaghetti sauce isn't really falling off the wagon. You may have eaten a little sugar in the sauce and a little bread in the meatballs... not that big of a deal.

If you had downed a big plate of pasta... now that would be falling off the wagon!

That's more like falling off the wagon and getting run over by it too.

Meatballs in sauce may be legal. At least the kind we make is.
