Take Sally's advice and post a menu. Are you keeping track of all you eat? Sometimes there is something there that shouldn't be. I'm really curious as to what is happening to you.

I would try something else.If meat makes you want to gag, low carb isn't for you. There are plenty of ways to lose weight on different diets. The problem for me is hunger control.Good luck.

One can actually follow a low carb diet as a vegetarian. Even the Induction phase of Atkins can be followed by vegetarians (not by vegans), as Dr. Atkins clearly says in DANDR. Furthermore, Induction is not the only phase of the Atkins Diet, so after the first two weeks you can introduce more vegetables, diary, nuts, berries, legumes, fruits, starchy vegetables and grains, and, if you wish, alcohol, thus expanding your food choices.
