Re: Day 4 and I feel like @#*&

Caffeine addictions can be tricky (I should know - I love coffee - but drink mainly decaf now and in reduced amounts because coffee makes me want to eat)

Anyways you could try a gradual shift to decaf. That is what I did. Decaf is allowed. Herbal tea or decaffeinated tea would be great. I like decaffeinated green tea.

Thanks, I think I'll do the switch to decaf. I also need to drink more water, I know, ... but I don't like plain water. I hear it needs to be plain water around here a lot. But I don't quite get the reasoning. The actual medical recomendation is 8 eight oz glasses of FLUID, of those 3 should be plain water. The human body is quite good at getting water from foods and fluids we eat and drink. But when in Rome ... do as the Romans. So more plain water it is.

Plain water is like nectar from the gods. No calories, no carbs, no chemicals. The kidneys and liver are happy - they get flushed out and do not have to process the loads of chemicals people tend to drink. We need happy kindneys and liver on Atkins because we are asking them to do ketosis for us. And we need water to flush things out. Basically you cannot get enough of the stuff. (well maybe you could but you'd be pretty soggy by that time)
