    Hey folks, my first time posting here. I'm doing induction (5 days in) and doing great. Until today. I had such a stressful day- car problems etc and I'm this close to chugging a bottle of scotch. So I thought it might be a good time to make my first post. I'm doing everything by the book, and the only thing I miss is a nightly drink (or 2 ). But I know me, if I cheat once, I'll cheat again and again. Soooo, basically I'm reading the board and breathing deeply for now. Anyway, thanks to all that post here, you are very helpful!

    Welcome to posting, Nina.

    Taking deep breaths helps. Put on some music and do a little exercise to let the endorphins do their job of relieving stress and controlling appetite.

      So where in NC are ya? We can share the bottle of Scotch lol. I hate being stressed cause when I am stressed I eat more. So I have been trying to keep myself busy. I had one slip up and that was Sunday and I have been back on track since. I swear I gain weight just by looking at the wrong food. Every time I want to go after something I tell myself my a$$ will turn into the goodyear blimp and then I go do something else. When I am really stressed I pop in a kick boxing workout and kick and punch my stress away!!

          Oh, and on the actual subject... I am a sweets eater when I am stressed. Now that I am more into induction I crave nothing, which is good. But yeah... bad days for me used to = brownies. I have some on the stove that I made for my kids yesterday and I have not had a crumb. I tell myself "do i want to be skinny or to have a brownie."

            Sounds like you have more than one addiction to tackle... That's going to be rough, but you can do it!

              Hi all. I'm in Chapel Hill, pouring rain here! And I did good tonight- tomorrow is another day. But so far so good. Sending good and carb-free thoughts to everyone!
