  • shopping list - UK members preferebly

    im writing out my first atkins shopping list gonna start mon. should i stay on induction untill i lost hhalf the weight i wanna loose? and should i take the psyllum husks and vitamins all together in morning??

    just a question, does anyone have any tips of cheapy things i can buy on induction, im going to tesco. any snacks?? i dont like olives btw. i know we shouldnt snack but i just want something there in case. thanks??


    First Mini Goal: Loose 10lbs = 11st12lbs
    Second Mini Goal: Loose 12lbs = 11st0lbs
    Third Mini Goal: Loose 10lbs = 10st 4lbs
    Fourth Mini Goal: Loose 10lbs = 9st 8lbs

    Nope. The time you spend on Induction should be decided after you've read Chapters 12-13 in DANDR. The people who may benefit from extending their Induction are those who have very much weigh to lose or have a high metabolic resistance.

    Not if you don't want to. I take my multivitamin with a meal (lunch or dinner).

    You should actually snack/eat if hungry or if six hour have passed since your last meal.

        Hi Laura,
        Don't take the p husks with the vitamins as the fibre can block the absorbtion of the vits.
        My advice is move up the rungs. Stay on inductions for a few weeks if you like but when things get boring, move on up.
        Snack food ideas:
        celery with cream cheese
        marmite cheese bites
        Babybels
        Slices of cold meats - ham/beef etc.
        Boiled eggs
        Bacon - chopped, fried and left to cool

          ok should i have vitamins in morning and fibre in afternoon???

          aww i wish i liked celerey that would be lovley, and marmite lol. how many babybels can u have a day??xx

              I love egg in a cup. I remember when I was a little girl I'd sometimes eat this. LOVED it! So simple. Just hard boil 2 eggs and mash it all up in a mug with butter and a pinch of salt. YUM! Very filling too.

                  Aye you can eat pork rinds. Just check the labels for added sugars. You can use pork rinds as fake breading for chicken.

                  I read somewhere that you can crush pork rinds with cinnamon for a nice coating for chicken
