Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
Congratulations on sticking to it - you should be proud, Induction is hard! (But it gets way easier when you have your menus and stuff worked out.)
I did not experience any nausea but I'm sure someone will be along with a better answer. In the meantime, are you drinking enough water and eating enough food? Do you want to post a day of menus so maybe we can take a look and help you?My FitDay Food Chart | Need a Crash Course in Atkins? Induction for Dummies

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
Congrats WellKept. I didn't have any nausea but from what I hear it could happen. DarlingBri is right in asking how the drinking of water is going. And it would be great to see what you're eating as well.
Keep it up, the first couple of weeks are a whole new world!Pete

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
Yeah, you're not eating nearly enough. Atkins is a high fat, medium protein, low carb diet. It is not a traditional "diet" where you cut calories.
An Atkins Induction variation on that menu would look more like:
2 eggs fried in butter
2 pieces of bacon
6oz ground beef
1 cup lettuce
1 Tbsp salsa
1 Tbsp sour cream
1 steak or fish or chicken
2 cups of allowed veggies
You need to get a copy of the 2002 edition of the book and read it, but there's a crash course primer in my signature that may help you get a better understanding of how this way of eating works.
Eat something, you'll feel better!

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
Hello wellkept32,
Don't worry, you nausea will not last long. Give your body another day or two to adjust to new conditions. Limit the amount of food you intake and eat when you're really hungry, not when you feel it's appropriate.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya!

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
I had nausea on day 3, and it didn't go away until day 5. I was doing the same thing you were doing, and then I realized I needed to add more veggies. Also, be sure you're taking all your supplements.
Believe it or not, a bit of exercise helped me. I went for a hike on day 4, and I swear that kind of helped push all the "sugar toxins" out of my body.
Good job on the water. Hang in there!!

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
They are all correct!
Even after 7 weeks I have a bit of a hard time really trusting that eating all the food I am eating, with plenty of fats and tastey juicy food is actually making me thin.. BUT IT IS!!!
To date I have lost over 26lbs in 7 weeks, and am loosing inches every week!
Eating plenty is the key!Sarbirus

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
Sure.
Breakfasts:
Egg (scrambled) and bacon
Egg (fried) and sausage
Egg omelette with cheese and mushrooms
Hamburger (no really - I get bored with eggs and often have lunch for breakfast - see below.)
Lunch:
Tuna and mayo in half a small avocado with oil & vinegar
Chicken salad (chicken and mayo) with some cherry tomatoes
Sliced fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and sliced salami with dressing
Chef salad
Bacon cheese burger, side spinach salad
TIP: I think spinach is best used as a salad green, because a cup of spinach cooks down to like a big tablespoon and is depressing.
Dinner:
Steak
Pork chops
Lamb burgers
Chicken
Grilled salmon
Stir fry (you can make cauliflower rice, just Google it)
We usually eat these with sautéed mushrooms (List A) and either green beans or asparagus (List B).
Snacks:
Eggs
Egg salad
Chicken wings
Pickles* and cheese
*Pickles are great because tart cuts the craving for sweet but it is hard to find pickles with no sugar - be carefulMy FitDay Food Chart | Need a Crash Course in Atkins? Induction for Dummies

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
I can post example too but it is best to kind of find your own way. I like my induction sort of simple. I avoided sweetener and did not eat much cheese or dairy
Breakfast (pre run)
One soft boiled egg
10 k run
Lunch (I was hungry for this one)
3 egg scramble, mushrooms, green onions, red pepper, bacon
cucumber
ham and a piece of havarti cheese.
Plenty of water
(Afternoon walk in the sunshine with my hubby)
Supper
Wings with Frank's Hot Sauce, blue cheese dressing (home made so no sugar)
cauliflower
salad (romaine, tomato, celery, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower)Breakfast
coffee
run and yoga
2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 1/2 slice cheddar, green onion, (scramble)
a little bit of beef
slices of cucumber and red pepper
water
Lunch
spareribs and beef (left overs)
Supper
2 hamburger patties with bacon, mustard, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato
coffee for dessert
Snack
smoked salmon with romaine

Re: 3rd Day and feeling......
Great info on the Board about induction flu. Didn't even know what it was until half an hour ago. I'm on my third day of induction and have had to come home from work (exceptionally unlike me...) as my mind is lost in a fog, my legs and shoulders ache and generally feel miserable with absolutely no energy. Will make sure I increase intake of food, following advice on here.
Thanks everyone.
