  • What is bad about atkins...

    NOTHING!!!

    Day 13: sleeping is much deeper and rejuvinating. I no longer nod out after gorging myself at dinner. I am starting to fit into those small public chairs without discomfort. I'm off metformin..don't need it.

    Your honor, the defense would like to make a motion to quash naysayers. Lowfat never worked for me..it worked at keeping me obese all of these years. I'm just reflecting my positive outlook and that's how I feel today.

      Good job, you'll see that better sleep is only one of the many benefits you'll get doing this plan.

              Congratulations!
              I noticed better sleep, also, and I'm on the 5th day. Did you also give up large amounts of caffeine? I wonder if it was the reduction of caffeine or the diet that improved my sleep.
              I'm 26 years old, and I lost weight on this plan in 2005. I'm getting married in August and thought this would be the way to go after making little progress on other diets. I've got 20 lbs to lose for the big day!

                I gave up some....ok most. for me it can't be the caffeine...i was experiencing sleep apnea and it was awful. seems to be alright...getting better. I mean if I can go all day without that nap I needed after putting myself into a diabetic coma...I have no objections man. What I stick in my body matters alot.

                thanks to people who wished me well..it's just the beginning but .I like it.

                  Guess who used to snore like a freight train and doesn't anymore?!!!
                  :wave Me, that's who!! lol Just the fact that I'm not worried about disturbing anyone with my snoring has given me better sleep right there.

                  It's cool when you realize how your quality of life just keeps getting better and better with a healthier diet, weight loss, and just the good feelings you get when you are making a change in your life!

                        Being one who also suffered greatly from sleep apnea (a car accident ranks right up there), the miracle of this diet can not be dismissed. I am glad you are experiencing the same great health benefits that many other Atkin followers have. Good luck, and I look forward to reading more of your success stories, Russ.
