The only advice I have as I have been on Atkins 10 days now is to not weigh yourself every day. Choose one day of the week and do it then. I bet you will start to see the scale change at that point. Also, you are not a large person. Big losses come from big people. You weight may come off just a tad slower and that's not a bad thing. Hang in there friend!
Thanks!!! keep going yourself VEGAS is a worthy goal

"Good" is relative. I certainly advise staying away from them on Induction ... and as long as possible.

Half and half isn't legal on Induction.

        Use real cream.

And ... do check the label on the "sugar free" cream to read the list of ingredients ... then you'll know why we're saying not to have it.
just curious why the real cream istead of 1/2 and 1/2...I really need to get this book!

Because 1/2 and 1/2 is half cream (allowed) and 1/2 milk (not allowed on Induction).

Additionally, cream is less carbs, more fat.

            , but I whole-heartedly disagree.

Low carb junk food is STILL junk food, no matter how you dress it up. Bottom line is there is no such thing as mythical magical carbs that don't count. Even sugar alcohols *do* impact blood sugar and have a calorie count.

Yes. They're convenient, but it seems to me that a lot of us land here because of what's convenient rather than what's healthy.

The bars are not induction friendly at all. Heck, they're not OWL friendly until later rungs in spite of what the label tells you. The ingredients list tells the truth. And just like my siggy says. If it requires a degree in chemical engineering to pronounce, you probably shouldn't be eating it.

I believe if you drop the low-carb junk food, continue on with the exercise and let your body adjust and drop the water weight it's going to hold on to while you do what you're doing and keep it up, you're going to do just fine.

You'll find no minimalizing your 20lbs from me. You have to make peace with the fact that it's going to take some time. The less you have to lose, the slower it goes. Hang in there!

my husband used to drink the shakes, and was never a 'breakfast' eater - He wasn't losing, so I convinced him to start making his own shakes - Couple eggs, splenda, vanilla, ice in the blender - tastes just like the atkins shakes.

Couldnt you use Cream mixed with Water instead of Half and Half?

Hmm... You could make good money selling these, you know?

                    Good suggestion
That is what I do if a recipe calls for milk in it
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

With the suggestions you have been given here I am sure you will - especially with the exercise you do as well

Do make sure you take measurements now or photos or just get out a really tight outfit and see how it fits so you can compare your body shape as you shrink.

Atkins often makes us burn fat and add muscle, which takes up less room while weighing the same, so scales results are not always indicative of how your body is changing.

Many people post that they have not lost more than a couple of pounds while losing whole clothes sizes, so the scales do not tell the whole story

                        Hi,

I'm on day 8, only down 2 lbs. Bummed myself. However I have done Atkins before and have done well on it so I am hoping it's just hump?

Drink water, exercise and watch the sodium.

                        good luck.
