Hi All!
Today is Day 14 on Induction. I am proud to say I have done it clean with not one cheat! :joy It was difficult at times, especially while I was traveling. I had beer, cookies, bread, and a few other off limit foods waved under my nose to get me to cave. Not sure why people want to do that to you when you tell then what you are trying to accomplish?
The weight change was odd to me too. After the first 9 days I had lost 8 lbs and I was thrilled. Then on Day 10 I was back up 2 lbs and depressed. I stayed the same weight until this morning when I checked and I was at 161. Down 9 lbs! I know I shouldn't have weighed myself during this process but if I had to choose between my peeking and a hunk of bread I think I made the right choice.
What have I learned the last 14 days? That I have willpower! I will be honest I still miss sweet things. Since I made it thru 2 weeks I may try that mock danish to see if it helps. I also realized how much crap I was putting into my body. I do feel different. More clear and less bloaty.
What do I need to work on? Getting more disciplined about exercising. I did get out of my rut by starting to walk and working out in the hotel health clubs but I need to extend my 30 minutes to 45 and learn to like it. It is still a challenge to start but I do feel good when I'm done.
I'll get thru today and send myself over to the Extended Induction Board.
I would like to keep myself on the right track for another week or two before OWL.
This board has been a great inspiration and resource. Thanks!
Misty
