    Re: tummy trouble?

I had tummy trouble during induction. It was just how the "flu" affected me. Basically, your body is getting used to this way of eating. Mine only lasted a couple of days (if I remember correctly).

If you are drinking water in the amounts recommended, that might cause you to wake needing to go to the bathroom at night. I find the only way I can sleep through the night is to not drink anything an hour before I go to bed. Well, that is very hard for me lol, so I am up most nights.

Just a couple of thoughts. Hang in there.

      induction flu and also

maybe your not drinking enough water? remember during large amounts of fat weight loss your body has to flush toxins out because there was many toxins stored in your body fat that now its gone need to be flushed out so make sure you drink lots of water

and as for your tummy maybe your eating to much fiber? and or some raw vegetables are not agreeing with you? it maybe hard to find out what it is if your also suffering from the induction flu at the same time

i can't handle to much fiber it hurts my gut so when i cook broccoli i cut all the stems off because thats were most of the fiber is then i just eat the top flower parts where all the vitamins are

oh ya and don't drink much water before going to bed i made a habbit now that i only allow 1-3 small sips if im about to go to bed

            Hi tweedledee and welcome.

That is what I experienced too, in the first week or so. I personally thought it had to do with my body reacting to the amound of fat I was eating. After eating low fat for the last 20+ years , I think that my body didn't know how to react to the good fats it was getting

The water, too, gets better as your body adjusts to getting enough water. Most non-adkiners don't drink nearly enough water. I know I never did before this WOE. I was so discouraged the first week, having to get out of my nice, warm, cozy bed to go into our cold bathroom - 3 or 4 times a night - at first I didn't know if I could stick with it. It reminded me of when I used to get up with my babies (now in colege ), it was taking me a while to get back to sleep, then wham, up again to pee.
I drink 120 to 130 oz of water most days and as long as I limit my water an hour or two before I go to bed, I'm now only up once .

Stick with it. It really is worth it.
