  • cravings?

    ok so its still early-ish.. bout 1030 here where i live.. and for breakfast about 8 i had 3 egg omelet with .5 oz of onion, .5 oz of bell pepper, 2 oz of ham, and 1 oz of hand shredded cheese. Now, 2 hours later while doing homework I am craving any type of sugar. Im thinking to fix a cup of decaf coffee, but does anyone else do this? I am on day 10 of introduction with 10 lbs lost so far. I am planning on stay at introduction until i am 170 ( 18 more pounds) then going into OWL. o and also im on the monthly cycle. does this have anything to do with it? But chocolate is calling my name really bad..

    your cycle referred to as TOM on the board has it all to do with it. the hormones can actually alter your glucose controls your strength your resperation levels and lots of other things other then just the moodiness. Athletes actually scedual their workouts around what changes the female hormaones cause as they cycle through the month.

    the choclate is because there is a chemical in it that will stimulate your female pleasure zone of the brain. Ignoring it can work or hacving a high fat low carb moderate protein snack if you are hungry can help.

    it could also be if one or more of thoes ingredients is new to your eating they are your trigger. celery even though it is legal is a craving trigger for me.

      Yes, TOM is EVIL! In the week prior to my TOM, I get cravings for carbs and it's then that I really, really, really need to watch it.

      In addition to cravings, don't be surprized if you stop "losing weight" or even gain a pound or two. It's all water weight, and when TOM leaves, the water weight does too.

        I seem to really crave sweets 2 wks prior to my cycle and then again while on my cycle. Weird and irritating too!

          I HATE TOM!!!!

          Seriously, I have gained up to 10 lbs on stupid TOM!!!!

          I get really bad cravings too... I have given into them too many times in the past on 'legal' foods but I'm really trying to break those habits this time.
          I'm trying to stay strong but it's hard!!

          Hang in there girl, it'll pass!!!! PROMISE!

            thanks for letting me know bout TOM lol as you can tell I am new! ive been drinking a lot of water so far today to hopefully flush out the cravings.. I also just got a Aquafina FlavorSplash? it says 0 carbs but it has splenda in it so for the 2 servings im counting them as my splenda packets and 2 carbs. is that right? its pretty good..

              That sounds about right. Flavoured or sweetened water will not count towards your daily water consumption.
