  • Is cinnamon allowed on induction?

I do still drink a bit of tea in the mornings. I know they say not to but I can't get up in the mornings and it hasn' caused any hunger for me.

I have an organic tea with cinnimon in the ingredients.
Is it okay to use cinnamon in my tea?

Oh, and don't forget to count the carbs in tea.

And don't forget that spices and herbs have carbs.

              >>tea has carbs?>>

              Yes.

0.7 per 8 ounces if its brewed black.

0.5 per 8 ounces if its herbal.

              >>I forgot about hidden carbs.>>

These aren't really "hidden" ... in my opinion.

Remember to subtract the fiber ... the list shows total carbs and fiber.

And yes, I'm serious ... the list is from the USDA.

Oh yes, right, subtract fiber! I have forgotten!

It's been a while. I no longer have the atkins book as I have moved around alot and it has gotten lost in the shuffle sadly enough..

Do you have a link on the adding and subtracting the fiber against carb amounts?

Then you need to buy a new one.

I've never known anyone to be successful without one.

You can use the USDA site at www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/

You'll still have to subtract by yourself.

Ok right, a new book. I am seeking employment at the moment, so I cannot afford one now sadly enough, so I am going to look in my library to see if they have a copy..

I found a copy of the Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution at the library. I am going to make that request!!! Thats the book everyone is using on this forum, right?

                      thanks atkinsgal

Is there a link that people on this forum uses to track their success online for atkins?

cool, I just checked my library request, it is the 2002 edition. Great! I should get it within 2 days.

Is there an online atkins tracker that this forum has mentioned, like a food and success tracker like a journal?
