Hi,
I am a newb to atkins diet.
I am male, weighing about 240lb 5foot 11.
i want to lose 40lb in next 3 months.
so i have started atkins diet.
This is my 8th day of induction.
I have been trying hard and i am so determined to lose weight.
This is what i have been eating for past 1 week.
* Beef steak (different kinds)
* Cabbages
* Lettuce
* Chicken Fillet
* Grilled Whole Chicken from Metro (removed skin)
* Lots of mushroom
* Lots of water
* beans (not too much)
* Broccoli
* Lots of chicken wings
* one Brussel.
* Eggs
now this is about everything i ate last 1 week.
It looks like i am losing weight as i lost weight around my chin
but when i go on scale i didnt lose any weight.
I didnt exercise but i tried to walk everywhere i go.
Today i wanted to see if i am in ketosis so i bought ths stick
and it did not turn into any color.
i didnt test myself in the morning, i ate chicken+mushroom + water.
can that dilute my ketones????
I am sure i was in ketosis by day 3 or 4.
beacuse my breath was bad and i was waking up in the middle of the night.
I didnt eat much out of ordinary except at one point i tried this sauce
and i think it had sugar in it so i didnt try it any more. i only tried like a tiny tiny drop of it. Can that take me out of ketosis?
Or Hot Sauce for chicken wing at St.Louis Bar has sugar in it? it was just hot sauce.....
I am really frustrated, its day 8, i dont think i lost much weight, ketostix shows negative... am i doing something wrong... i am really tired (literally) but i dont want to give up..
**Can tiny bit of sugar by mistake kick me out of ketosis....
