You can use any nonhydrogenated fat you like everything from butter to a veggie oil is legal. Just make sure it is manufactured in a healthy manner.
    Thank you,

But i am kind of confused with the word FAT. this FAT does not mean FAT on meat only but also butter, oil and etc? so cooking my chicken or beef with olive oil will make me consume more fat?

i am kind of confused,, i think i am not consuming much fat because all i like to eat is Fish (cod) or Chicken and they dont have much fat as i grill my chicken..

how can i add fat to my diet?
once again thank you everyone for helping me out, i am reading through the links as well.

***This is from one of the links I posted for you-the Acceptable Induction Food List: (Hope this helps...)

      Acceptable Fats and Oils
Many fats, especially certain oils, are essential to good nutrition. Olive oil is particularly valuable. All other vegetable oils are allowed, the best being canola, walnut, soybean, grapeseed, sesame, sunflower and safflower oils, especially if they are labeled "cold-pressed" or "expeller-pressed." Do not cook polyunsaturated oils, such as corn, soybean and sunflower oil, at high temperatures or allow to brown or smoke.

Butter is allowed. Margarine should be avoided, not because of its carbohydrate content, but because it is usually made of trans fats (hydrogenated oils), which are a serious health hazard. (Some nonhydrogenated margarines are available in health-food stores.)

You don't have to remove the skin and fat from meat or fowl. Salmon and other cold-water fish are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids.

Remember that trying to do a low-fat version of the Atkins Nutritional ApproachTM will interfere with fat burning and derail your weight loss.

Do you like avacados? You are allowed 1/2 of one per day and they are great sources of healthy fat. Also you might want to look into the eggnog shakes for when you are in a hurry or just don't want meat and veggies for a meal.

thank you everyone for your help.

So i guess when i eat cod i am consuming some fat,
but when i eat chicken breast i should add butter to it.

now i kind of get it. thank you
but this does not mean more oil the better result i get right?

i know i should be strictly following the diet plans, but i really
dont think i can do that much. I cant really count exact carbs
and count this and that.. i am sorry

but i try my best to eat around 20g of carbs and no sugar.

we want the majority of our cals from fats. we do not want to over eat protein cause that is metabolized as sugar for energy making and the sugar process evokes insulin and insulin stores fat so body fat can't get out to be used until the glucose is back down and then you get hungry cause your blood glucose level drops.

with fatty acid metabolism for the magority of our energy making our blood sugar will stay pretty normal and hardly any insulin will be released so you can use body fats to make enrgy and lose some weight.

Re: I need some real help....

So i have been eating parts without much fat.. i have been getting it all wrong.

Pork has lots of fat but do beef contain much fat as well?
i like to eat pork rashers but i prefer beef to pork.

i dont want to eat much chicken anymore because it does not
              contain enough fat..

so what part of beef contains enough fat to suffice daily fat consumption?
              why am i so confused...

or can i buy any part of beef and just cook it with butter and it will
              provide me with enough fat?

Realize that weight loss isn't linear. Some days you'll be up and some days you'll be down. You'll lose inches when the scale doesn't move. Keep at it and you'll notice that your clothes are baggier.

                Good luck.

Also, I've notice that my sodium intake has a lot to do with my weight loss. I've reduced the amount and it has helped me too.

Lastly, try & relax. It's a pretty simple plan if you follow it. Get the book.

your chicken would have enough fat if you ate the skin. you can cook it with a fat and it will be fine. you look on the USDA site at any cut of meat and figure out its fat content. you do not want to buy lean beef uness you are planning to add a fat in cooking.

But you could add your fat to your veggies and be okay eating a leaner cut of meat with them. yo could add some cheese and be legal you could add avacado if you can eat it as it is in the special catagory foods.
if you haven't already gotten one sign up foir the free fitday.com accounts and then you can plan your menu and see how much fat you need to add if your beef or chicken was lean.
