    Re: Day 2

Do you have any idea what exactly is in your oriental seasonings? That might be a no depending on what's in it, also is it high in sodium? If so you'll probably retain water.

Your drink is a bit iffy. Water with added sugar does not count as water. You need to drink clean water and loads of it!!!!

I'm going to skip the soy sauce for it's carbs & sodium, but I will use the sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.

          What sugar?

I do not like plain water. I usually drink only the Diet Hansen's, but I'm going 1/2 and 1/2 w/ the mineral water as a concession.

No there is no exception!!!! Think of your poor kidneys
How about trying a nice zip bottle with a straw - sometimes that helps people. Take small sips now and then. You got to try. This is part of getting healthy.

Also you could try carbonated water with a lemon slice in it if that helps (but no fake sugars)

That's what the mineral water is - carbonated water. And, I do like it plain, but also drink it with lemon juice & stevia half the time.
If one needed water, and nothing but plain water sufficed, to have healthy kidneys, then we'd all have dead kidney's.

                Re: Day 2

The rule is at least 64 oz (clean water) If you want to do it right. I have to let you know. You are asking for advice. And I give advice by the book.
We go on ketosis in this diet which is diuretic. Water for us is important. Probably even more important than it is for those eating carby foods.
The more you drink, the more you shrink (it is my motto often)

So the mineral water, even plain w/ no sweetener or lemon juice, wouldn't count?

I would count it - so if you do that - you're good. Sorry if I misunderstood.

Awesome. That is a huge relief. I'm sorry. Just not a fan of plain water. Luckily I've always loved plain soda-water/mineral water.

Do I spy some carrot shreds there though??
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
