Re: problem with induction
Some people don't experience the carb withdrawal symptoms at all. You might be one of the lucky ones.
Let's face it....some of the symptoms include things like splitting headaches and fatigue---who wants that? So consider yourself fortunate that you aren't having a headache or feeling very tired and washed out.

I agree with Megs
just count yourself as one of those lucky ones and continue to plan!
I look forward to hearing how your first 14 days go
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: problem with induction
ussually eat eggs or bacon maybe some salsa in the morning only a serving.
lunch maybe lettuce with a very small amount of italian dressing and cheese.
dinner ussualy pork or a burger no bun of course. Spinach
snacks- olives, 1 or 2 grape tomatoes left over meat.
usually some sort of variation.
I have definitely lost my desire to eat. I deffinitly feel hungry less often.6/2 about last weigh in was 240 18 years old.

Net carbs? I doubt!Originally posted by scottieboy561 View Postits probably close to 15- 16 carbs
Can you check?i dont think the dressing has added sugar the salsa may
If that is a typical menu, then you're not eating enough... especially for lunch. You could add some meat there.
How many calories have you been consuming on average?

Re: problem with induction
Isn't having tomatos and salsa essentially fruits? Which isn't supposed to be consumed during induction?
I am on an extended induction and won't go near any tomatos or salsa... that would raise insulin levels..
For myself, I didn't go through carb withdrawl myself at all either. No headaches or anything!!On Induction since: Jan 25th 2010

Re: problem with induction

Re: problem with induction
We count net carbs on Atkins, not grams of sugar.Originally posted by scottieboy561 View Postboth the salsa and the ingredients has 2g of sugar per serving
Besides, those two grams can come from naturally occurring sugar or from added sugar. Can you list here the ingredients in the salsa and in the dressing?
I am saying it is probably not correct. Can you repost your menu and add net carbs and quantities for all foods?when you say that you dont believe its 15-17 net grams of carbs is that saying im eating to much of to little?"Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."
