    yes, you are right, but I cant eat so much cheese either. not much of a cheese person. So I just adjusted my menu to include 100 grams of cheese and 100 grams of chicken and / or fish.

    whey protein is really expensive here, and the last thing I want is to buy a pack of it and then find that its really not helping or something... so not going to take that risk... maybe later when I feel I can afford to try.

      do you like tofu? Dr Atkins refers to that as soy cheese in the * part of his induction chapter.
      For his vegetarian patients he prescribed soy based protein foods for induction like Boca burgers and such. If you have hypothyroid or any possible cancer issues you do not want to be eating soy though.
      Curiious why are you not using finfish for your protein during lent as that is allowed
      by the book atkinseer
