hey ive been dieting since dec and at my highest weight i was 356 im currently 325 this is my 6th day on induction since i went off for a while and as of yesterday i was 321 but this morning i was 324.8 what happened its impossible to gain that much overnite and i swear i followed induction to the letter i dont think ive been drinking alot everytime i sit down to drink my daughter drinks it up before i get the chance also its close to me time of the month so im not stressing yet and i am in constant ketosis how can you gain and be in ketosis

People put too much emphasis on ketosis. You can gain and still be in ketosis just like you can lose and not be in ketosis. Ignore the strips.
If it's close to TOM you probably have a lot of water retention going on, especially if you haven't been drinking all your water. Try drinking extra water to flush it out.

Ketosis is not a guarantee. If you are in ketosis but are eating 4000 calories a day you will gain. Chances are your gain is water. Drink more pure water and your body will not work so hard to hold onto the water inside. And try not to obsess about it. Weigh weekly and know when it is near TOM some gains are likely, but they are temporary.

put the scales away until day 15 and see how much smaller you are then. we didn't gain it linearly and we will not lose it linearly but our overall trend will be downward.by the book atkinseer

i eat 3 scrambled eggs for breakfast and 4 piece of bacon or two sausage every morning for lunch normally a grilled chicken breast with a slice of cheese(1 net carb) and in between i have a cup of sugar free jello i drink diet soda but i loose even on diet soda caffiene free of course and dinner usually stir fry beef or shrimp with bell peppers and onion and snack before bed 10 baby carrots and tablesp ranch dressing(1 net for the dressing) im not eating alot because im not hungry and i am getting smaller i get constipated alot maybe thats the slite gain and im probably only eating 1500 to 1800 calories i dont even buy sugar at all that has never been an issue i cant put the scale away i think it keeps me in check of my weight i work out 3 times a week usualy 3 miles on a stationary bike or lifting weights also im chasing after a 2 year old and trying to keep up with a new boyfriend who is 10 years younger than me lol he really motivates me he works out 2 hours 3 times a week i cant get up the nerve to go to a gym yet afraid people will be watching so i work out when he goes to the gym at home

Carrots are not induction veggies
A lot of sweetener can be a problem. I lose better when I cut them out. Limit is 3 a day. Do not go over. Make sure you have enough legal veggies. (3 cups)

sounds like you have that exercise and eating working. carrots are not alowed because of their glycemic index values until OWL rung 8 so pick a legal vewggie from your acceptanle induction veggies lists to use as your snack.
you are right constipation can cause scale weight gain.
more water and maybe some fiber could assist you with that.by the book atkinseer

You're starving yourself. You probably need about 1,000 more calories right now.

How much WATER do you drink? You need about 150 ounces. Not enough water can mean constipation.

did not know that about the carrots and im not drinking enough water im drinking like on glass a day and 1 soda a day and im trying to add more water starting today last week the same thing happened i was on low calorie though lots of carbs and i had a 10 pound gain overnight so then i lost 8 pounds in a week after that ive always had issues with constipation then i went on induction 6 days ago and lost 8 pounds as of yesterday and today just went up 3 pounds but its the last two days i was eating the carrots im going to switch to cucumbers

Are you reading the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002)? Do you have a copy of Acceptable Foods for Induction?
