No need to ever have eggs for breakfast unless you fancy them!

The only time I have had fried eggs for breakfast since I started Atkineering is when I a staying at a hotel that offers a 'full English' when I order eggs and bacon and mushrooms - though I do often have them when we stop at a 'all day breakfast café' for lunch.

Any food from the allowed list is OK for breakfast. Many people make extra dinner portions so they have leftovers for breakfast or to take to work for lunch. We had one member who reguarly had beanless chilli for her breakfast

I often make crustless quiches to have something in the fridge that I can easily grab a slice or two for breakfast or for 'to go' snacks. I usually include some cooked veg and meat in mine so I can get some veggie carbs as well.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Well, I like eggs, so make them all different ways. While I work I normally bring in 2 hard boiled eggs and will eat with mayo, or mix with tuna/salmon and eat with celery.

On the weekends, I make large breakfasts for hub and myself. Yesterday, took some ground beef, cooked and mixed in burrito seasoning. Mixed up 6 eggs and poured over meat, added diced onion, black olives - when the eggs were set - added cheese. Let that melt, then served with salsa and sour cream...great breakfast.

You also don't have to limit yourself to eggs for breakfast, any food will do, as long as it's legal!

        Good luck!

I don't have eggs for breakfast very often. I tend towards leftovers! If you don't like eggs, definitely find what you enjoy (on plan, naturally) and have that instead, whether it's a ribeye, or leftover noodle-free LC lasagna or whatever!

For Easter dinner yesterday, someone brought a roast turkey. So for breakfast this morning I made a turkey salad (chopped turkey with a bit of mayo) and ate it with jicama and cucumber slices.

Re: Induction breakfast....ewww too much eggs for me

I only like scrambled eggs the way my father makes 'em, so I don't often eat those either, and not since I started Atkins, since he's thousands of miles away. I usually eat omelettes for breakfast. But light on the egg and heavy on the fillers. I put lots of crunchy, tasty veggies inside (peppers, onions, tomatoes, you name it), bacon, cheese. Whatever suits my fancy. But just because it's breakfast doesn't mean you have to eat breakfast food. Eat what makes you happy (as long as it's on the acceptable foods list, of course ).

                " i don't like eggs"

                so don't have eggs : /

No one says you HAVE to eat 'breakfast' foods for breakfast. Sometimes I have a nice salad. It's delicious!! I have it with a boiled egg :P

Make yourself a steak, or chicken salad. You can have any kind of food you want for breakfast. Stay away from eggs if they turn your stomach. Have a stir fry for breakfast with bacon, onion, bell peppers, and a single scrambled egg mixed in if you can stomach it. Otherwise, try to stick to other foods on the induction list.

I'm not a huge egg fan but I have found them quite satisfying over the past week or so. I made mine with onions, green pepper, tomatoes, saugage, bacon, and cheese. I usually scramble 2 eggs and use butter to cook them in.

You definately need to try adding some veggies in with your eggs.... you might find you like them better.

OR, do as other's suggest and just have something else.

Re: Induction breakfast....ewww too much eggs for me

i tried the leftovers thing for breakfast today and i have to say it was a nice change. i have been doing different variations of eggs for 3 weeks now and i was getting a little bored. last night i threw an extra burger on the grill and packed it up with a little of my mom's garlic broccoli for breakfast today. it seemed a little strange eating that for breakfast but i enjoyed it and it was a nice change. tomorrow i am going to try egg salad for breakfast.

I've made this variation in my omelets the past couple days... maybe you'll like it too.

I use butter to cook them in... melt that in a pan. Add what veggies you want (today I just saute'd onions) then add two beaten eggs. Don't touch them until there is almost no runny stuff on the top of your omelet. Then add Mozzarella cheese, lots of it then flip the omelette over to cook the other side. I then add more cheese and whatever else is going IN the omelete (today I added more cheese and fresh spinach). When it's done cooking, fold the one side over onto the other.

The mozzarella cheese melts and gets crispy! Today I allowed it to brown a little longer than I normally do and it was fabulous! The outside was crispy and deliscious! A lot different than eating a mushy omelelet. The key is in the cheese on the OUTSIDE of the omelet.

Just thought you might want to try it.
