I just weighed and measured myself and I know I should wait until tomorrow (Day 14) but I couldn't help myself so I did it today.
Over all I have lost 5lbs and 7.25 inches off my body!!! WOW! See now if I had just been going by the scale I would be sort of disappointed but honestly, it lies. I think 5lbs over induction is not bad actually considering I deal with TOM during induction and have started lifting weights this week. I was expecting to GAIN actually like my body always does but it didn't. I can't believe how the inches are melting away! In all honesty what I want is to change clothing sizes and be less fat then to worry about what a scale says! I am so excited!!!!!!!! I haven't been totally perfect either but not in the way of a cheat but mostly just things like having too much cheese one day, a little too many vegetables another, but overall I stayed the course. I am proud of myself! I didn't have any sugar, carbs or things that aren't allowed on induction and watched my sweeteners too. I reduced my sweeteners and caffeine (though I didn't eliminate them) and got aspartame out of my life as much as possible. These are all huge improvements for me and I broke my need to have dessert type things every night. Now I eat a meat and cheese tray at night if I am hungry. I don't have that drive to go eat something sweet. I consider that a huge accomplishment! YAY! I have never had such self-control before with food. Now each thing I decide to eat is a deliberate choice on my part, I am not a slave to cravings. No bingeing (which sort of happened when I was dieting the low fat/low cal way) and no cravings...well except for one: chicken wings. Hahaha. That was more of a want then a craving though and they just sounded GOOD.
I LOVE THIS WOE!!! I am so glad I have done a 14 day induction though (I started out in OWL in January but sort of fell off the wagon in March so I needed to do induction this time around since I never did it earlier). I think I really learned a lot and changed lots of my habits and put myself on a course for success! I think I might just ditch the scale entirely and just use my measuring tape from now on! I am also drinking lots and lots of water, I can't believe how much it helps!
I think next week I will move on to OWL and go to 25gms/day and see how I feel.
I am actually enjoying and having fun on this journey! No need for willpower. I could do this for a lifetime.
