Hi friends!!
I'm currently in Induction (although I'm almost two full weeks finished, I do not want to "loosen up" on my last couple days).
My best friends are flying in and visiting from out of town, and they all want Korean BBQ- tonight.
Korean BBQ, which I'm sure most of you are aware of- is a sizzling, delicious, aromatic, irresistable low-carb, UNLIMITED high-protein, moderate fat, high-veggies meal - extremely delicious and extremely low-carb friendly (if you skip the rice and the rice wraps).
However, I am Asian myself and I grew up eating these meats- and the marinades are 99.999% prepared with:
apples
pears
WHITE SUGAR
HONEY
RICE wine (sake)
garlic
onion
which are CARBS, CARBS, CARBS galore!
If I SKIP even the lettuce/salad, skip all the hint-of-carbs-side-dishes, and eat just the MEAT (which is all-you-can-eat, by the way), isn't there STILL a chance that I'll hit 20grams of carbs due to the pure sugar in the above ingredients?
I know the meat doesnt SWIM in the marinade, but c'mon- everyone puts a decent amount of marinade while serving BBQ at restaurants...
Furthermore I'm definitely thinking I should eat at least 1 or 2 cups of lettuce/salad...
Thank you SO MUCH- as my friends are flying in, CRAVING this, and this is seemingly VERY Atkins-friendly, just not induction-friendly, I guess??

Thank you very much!!!!!
ps. It will be tonight. So far, I had my breakfast (1.5 carbs total), lunch will be chicken with cheese (about 1 or 2 carbs total), as I'm saving my "carb allowance" for Korean bbq tonight.

I know this is pretty long, so here's my ultimate question:
I'm not going to turn my friends down when they ask me to take them to the best Korean BBQ place in town- so I am indeed going there - I'm guessing- just eat VERY very limited portions of the meat? Any thoughts and opinions deeply appreciated.
