  • Induction - Protein vs Fat

I am in Day 11 of Induction and I've lost 3lbs. I have a question about the amount of protein and fat...which one of these should my daily intake primarily consist of?

Not sure what you are thinking when you say daily intake
If it is the amount of calories most of those should come from fat. We suggest around 65%
Use FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal to find out where your percentages are.

But just in terms of food - the two are probably more equal fat is far more dense so in volume or weight I do not eat loads of fat. But if you add some mayo here, some olive oil there, some butter well then it easily add up.

In terms of volume on my plate - it often looks like more veggies. Because they are less dense.

Thank you for the great advice...I need to add mayo to my tuna, then. I've been consuming cottage cheese as a "dressing" when I really should be using mayo....

Cottage cheese is not allowed on induction

Always a good idea to double check
Especially if you have done the diet before because many second comers remember what they could get away with the first time around and they do not do a clean induction and therefore do not see the weightloss they could have. So time for you do do some studying
