I'm so excited and proud of myself. I finished my first week of induction. I will say I didn't exercise because I did feel really tired and had tons of homework to do plus working but I will begin to work out this week starting today. 5lb pounds lost during the first week is pretty good in my opinion but I'm sure it was just water weight and I'm ok with that. But I'm super prepared and excited for this second week.

What a great start to your Atkins journey
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Survived Week One
One way to start moving more if you canot find time for formal 'exercise' can be to plan to do things like parking further away in car parks so you need to walk further to the door of the shops, make yourself walk twice around the supermarket while shopping, taking stairs instead of lifts (elevators) etc.
Even planning a short walk outside your house to the corner of the block and back and seeing how often you can increase that distance can help start things going. Or put on your favourite loud music while housecleaning and shaking your 'booty' while vacuuming is a start!!Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Re: Survived Week One
hey thanks for the tips. I actually went to the gym last night and got started. I did 1.5 hours of cardio and I felt pretty good afterwards. I have one of those heart rate moniter thingys you put on like a watch and I burned about 800 calories. I was so proud and now I'm looking forward to hitting the gym more often.Originally posted by Elizellen View PostOne way to start moving more if you canot find time for formal 'exercise' can be to plan to do things like parking further away in car parks so you need to walk further to the door of the shops, make yourself walk twice around the supermarket while shopping, taking stairs instead of lifts (elevators) etc.

Way to go in meeting your first goal....That must feel so good...I too love to keep active and have been going to the gym...However; this being my second time around I have not managed to get a clean induction under my belt...Not that I go of plan I just eat to many carbs that are not on induction...My goal is to have a clean induction and start again...Just poped in to say awesome!

Re: Survived Week One
Hey thanks! My next goal is to not look at the scale for 2 weeks. I weighed myself this morning and I won't look at the scale until May 10Originally posted by Health Nut View PostWay to go in meeting your first goal....That must feel so good...I too love to keep active and have been going to the gym...However; this being my second time around I have not managed to get a clean induction under my belt...Not that I go of plan I just eat to many carbs that are not on induction...My goal is to have a clean induction and start again...Just poped in to say awesome!
