1. Where in the book does it list you have to get 1/2 net carbs from veggies on induction? Page number please. I would like to look it up when I get home.
2. Since the book lists 3 cups (no more) of veggies a day on induction, and you can have up to 20 net grams a day, which vegetables, at 3 cups can give you 10 net grams?
In reference to question 2, whatever that veggie is, is the only veggie you can eat during induction to get 50% of your net carbs based on what you moderators are saying.
For example, if I want to eat 2 cups of romaine lettuce and 1 cup cabbage (raw) I would be eating 8.3 - 4.2= 4.1 net carbs. That menu is induction legal and follows the Dr. Atkins rules.
So if I go by that, those 4.1 net carbs in veggies is suppose to be 50% of what I can eat. That means I can only eat another 4.1 carbs in other foods for the day which is well below the grams allotted on induction.
Please let me say this...I know there are other veggies out there I am just using it as an example for my questions....
