also any meds you are on, your exercise program and your water intake would help too along with how much total weight you are looking to lose.

If you are feeling bloated after eating you could be eating too fast and not allowing your body to give you feed back that it isn't hungry. Slowing down the speed with which you eat could help with that.

Do you have any food intolerances? Were you dieting before you startd your Atkins if so which one?

It would be helpful if you posted exactly what you eat for an entire day.

You might need to take some fiber tablets...I take Psyllium husks, but you need to make sure you get your water with them. Also, you should reread the sections in DANDR on food intolerences and yeast overgrowth. You might be being affected by one of those.

stephanie you aren't doing Atkins if you are not eating according to the rules of induction....you need 3 cups of veggies a day...that non negotiable...we have a lot of veggie haters that have made it work...dice it up small and put in a stir fry or with cheese...you need to be drinking at a minimum 64 oz of water...you need to take a daily multivitamin...sign on to fitday.com to track how many calories/carbs/fat you are eating a day...these things are all important if you really want to be successful at this WOE.

by the way what's a fried eye?and make sure the buffalo wings are not breaded.

sounds like you found the problem, your not really following this woe. Double check the sasuage you are eatting, it might have a high carb count.

think that is fried eggs with the sausage.

We need to learn to eat our vegies none of us got where we are eating those healthy veggies that are a part og Atkins.I don'tr see how you can have a ceasar salad without vegies check that long list and select the ones you like from it and eat some of them at every meal to get your full 3 cups in.

Since what you aere eatting is making you bloated I'd change foods and have some egs without the sausage plain chicke with my salad and see how I felt after eating that for a few days.

                          Happy low carbing.

Could it be the dairy? I know a lot of people claim dairy (cheese, milk, eggs) bloats them and they often don't notice until they begin a diet where they are eating more dairy products instead of an occasional slice of cheese on a sandwhich or an egg for breakfast.

In fact, and this is contrary to the Atkins way of life, and by giving you this information I am not saying you SHOULD DO THIS instead of Atkins......(gotta put that out there before I'm accused of endorsing something just because I present a differing concept)....

but I have noticed that a lot of trainers who put folks on low carb diets (that may or may not be atkins) also ban dairy because it tends to bloat some people or mess with their digestive systems. Until these recent studies about how calcium products like milk, cheese, yogurt, etc speed fat burning..most low fat moderate diets also banned or severely restricted dairy products.

Also, since you didn't post height weight or size...it could be you notice bloating more if you are not very overweight. I know I do.

I've been faithfully guzzling the water throughout the day (and at first it made me nauseous and I even threw up several times, but it has subsided a little since I got past the first week), and I swear my stomach looks like a baloon, but today I got into my size 6 pants for the first time in a month....so I've obviously lost some weight or inches, but I definitely notice that I am bloated because I don't have a lot of other surrounding body fat to confuse it with..if that makes sense.
