    Eggs and Bacon

I was wondering, did u have to intake, salads and other veggies during Induction, or can you just eat eggs and bacon, and meat the whole time?

Hi there! Yes you definitely eat vegetables and up to 20 net carbs per day of them on induction. For a sample list of things which are induction friendly, check out Tammy's Induction wallet-sized list which is 'stickied' at the top of this forum in a thread!

The majority of your carbs are to be from the veggies you eat. So, like exercise, eating vegetables is non-negotiable on the Atkins Diet.

Get yourself a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, version 2002 (DANDR for short) and give it a read. The plan is laid out clearly and will answer most of your questions.
It explains the 'why' behind the diet, which is extremely important to understand. :yes

            Hey SarcaztikCommentz!

I was wondering, did u have to intake, salads and other veggies during Induction, or can you just eat eggs and bacon, and meat the whole time?
You do need to eat at least 20 grams of carbohydrates per day during Induction. Moochiecat is right...you need to get a copy of the book (2000 edition) and read it. Otherwise this will end up like another diet for you.
If you're not able to get the book right away then visit the website and read the section on How to do Induction.

            Welcome!
            Be well-

Sounds like you're doing the media version of Atkins ... you know, just MEAT..............

              Its a four step program:

Read the book, re-read it, shop by it, live by it.

Four phases: Induction, Ongoing weight loss, pre-maintenance, lifetime maintenance. Don't cheat yourself or the plan by doing it any other way.

              YOU CAN DO IT!
