Yep, I know. One of my colleagues at work today questioned the "mothers day" entry on her desk calendar. I had to point out that it was Mothers Day in the US not here!

I thought these things were worldwide on the same day. The whole Hallmark International thing.
I had a double take too and thought I had missed it until I realised we had already had it 2 months ago.

I always get confused in February with the fact that normally feb24 will fall on the same day as mar24.

Shops start selling Mothers Day stuff atleast two months before, marketing it as "Sunday 24th".

I used to work for Hallmark in the UK, so strictly speaking I should know its a March thing.

Which foods exactly are you talking about Carol?

As some of the stuff our American people refer to are available to us here, but as a different name.

Mothers Day not in England on 8 may? How weird is that?

We had Mothers Day here (only a day earlier than the US)

Australia usually follow the poms in just about everything, including having a public holiday for the Queen's birthday - that is so weird that we didn't have Mothers Day the same day as you did

Carol, I have just had my lunch.

I had some salad, a cold mattesons sausage and some mayonaise.

All washed down with a pint of ice cold tap water.

You can fry your steak in butter, or you could have your butter melted over your vegetables.

Be careful on the quantities of salad you have, as you are limited to a certain amount of salady type foods a day.

I'm trying to think of the best way to word my reply really.

But no. Potatoes are the biggest NO NO of them all when it comes to vegetable.

I'll c and p you a list of the approved induction foods. I'm a little surprised that you havent alread seen it. Have you a copy of DANDR (orange book available to us in the UK)? It stands for Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution.
