  • HELP Salad Question!

Okay I have been eating Wendy's BLT Salad (w/o croutons) with original ranch dressing...is this okay...ranch dressing...not the low fat?

I wouldn't eat their dressing. It'll have sugar in it. The salad sounds numm-o though!

      Dressing

You're right...darn. I was including the sugar in the carb count. I did read the book but I still get confused. I will switch to ceasar no...sugar. The salad is amazing!

I hear you. It's a bit of a bummer sometimes. You could put a spot of mayonnaise on your salad for the fat, if you'd like.

I love how at Wendy's now you can choose a salad as the side in a meal with the burger (hold the bun, natch)... :joy

I'll take a look at the salad! I've never had a Wendy's salad yet!

You better head over to the Wendy's website and look up the nutritional info for that salad to really make sure you aren't downing an 11 net carb salad.

There's a list of the links for fast food places in the sticky thread called "Net Carbs, Added Sugar, Labels, FAST FOOD LINKS" at the top of this forum.

I just did a little checking.

The salad is 6 net carbs... the dressing? Drumroll please.... adds 5 net carbs!

Best to rassle the ranch and diss the dressing...

WAIT... have I been looking at something wrong?

I sometimes have a Cesar side salad... it says 3gm carb and 1 gm for the cesar dressing....

              is that not right?

                Hey, peytonn! :joy

Your caesar side salad is different from the blt salad SMS was talking about... so your numbers are right for your type salad.

You might want to ditch the dressing, just the same.

You don't have yto. I'll just give you the Jewish mother guilt thing and the sigh and say "G-d forbid you ditch the dressing. But don't listen to your mother. Just step over my body when I die of sadness because you're eating the prepared Wendy's dressing"

I wish we had a rolling on the floor laughing emoticon here. I'm spazzing this morning.

                      Lunch

I am planning on having Wendy's double cheeseburger no bun, plain and a ceasar side salad w/o croutons. Is this okay? I had three egg whites this morning.

steph, take a look at the "sticky" thread at the top of the forum called "Net Carbs, Added Sugars, Labels, FAST FOOD LINKS". You'll find the direct link to Wendy's nutritional information there.

By the way, why aren't you eating egg yolks? All the fat and nutrients are in the egg yolks.

Oh, just make sure you are eating fat with those egg whites. Atkins is a high fat diet, not a high protein one.

Add a carb per slice of cheese, because it's processed. (I know I know. I so don't want to be the killjoy when it comes to Wendy's)... *lol*
