I absolutely love deviled eggs. The problem is so does the rest of my family. If I take the time to make them they eat them all. Forget the egg cooker, who's going to invent the egg peeler? Now that's a money maker.

After this, I may just have to make some of those little buggers.

                    i have to know

i also LOVE deviled eggs, but im curious where to draw the line. when i make them, i just use mayo and the yolk and paprika. but how many can i eat? like everyone else said, i can eat them all day long. i know i have to watch the carbs, but 1 egg has 1 carb? so i can have 20 eggs\per day if i wanted? lol! it would be my 20carbs!!!! i couldnt eat that many but i actually think im in love with those things. :joy

I can get carried away with deviled eggs too. I love them too. What I am suggesting below is how I figured just how many deviled eggs I could have per day. Hope it helps you.

You might figure a typical atkins day with www.fitday.com. Be sure and include your required veggies, then see just how many deviled eggs you can eat and not exceed your limit of 20 carbs per day.

Happy Low carbing!! All you egg lovers, this includes me!!! :hug

I love devilled eggs too! However, I went to a party where the hostess told me there would be lots of Atkins friendly food and after eating 5 devilled eggs halves I said they were yummy, how did she make them. So she told me she made them with Miracle Whip!! Arg!! Lesson learned - always ask what ingredients are in the food. This was the same friend who included meatballs cooked in a sugary sweet and sour sauce as one of the Atkins-friendly foods (and then she was surprised I didn't want them).

Here is an easy hint -

I put all my yolks in a ziplock plastic bag and mush them up in the bag with the other ingredients until they are mixed really well. The I cut off one of the corners of the bag and I use it as a pastry bag...no messy spoons and easy clean up!

I've been known to eat 8 or 10 eggs a day on Atkins, when I'm not eating meat. Devilled eggs are the BEST!
