Trust me it's better than the alternative.

LOL...nooooooo, I promise I have been doing a very clean induction...not even any creams or cheeses. All I have been eating is meat, eggs and veggies! Oh wait I had a half a cup of diet pepsi yesterday...but I always drink a little here and there with no reactions like this!? hmmmm....I can't remember if I had these loose bowels the first time I got pregnant..I have been feeling a little nausious lately...do you think? ensive ensive ensive

Hey Sirine, I think change of bowel movements (going either way) when you change your eating habits is very possible. I noticed that every time I go on holidays and go somewhere new, things would change. When I go to a new country, it happens too. Even going to visit my parents and getting used to mum's cooking makes me either can't go, or go too much, you know? When I come back from holidays and go back to my own cooking, I've noticed the same thing.

More often than not, when most people start Atkins, they are also incorporating much more natural fibres from veggies than they did pre-Atkins, so your body isn't used to it, and it can either "clam up" or get it going to fast!

Not to be a bossy pants but if you think that's possible...go buy a test or get tested at the doc's ASAP. It's extremely important not to do anything other than maintinence when pregnant. However, I really do hope you feel better soon. I hate when I have a "runny" tummy. Totally sucks. Be sure to drink plenty of water so you don't dehydrate as well. O.k...bossy pants nosy girl getting off the soap box! Lol!

Whew! Thank you! I worry about some posts I make sometimes because in cyberland some things can be taken totally the wrong way since we can't hear the tone of each other's voices.

Excited about it? Maybe possibly hoping you have a little one on the way? That would be too cool. I'm done having kids so I live vicariously through others! Lol! Hope it goes well for you! We wouldn't mind a little update either...cuz...well...I'm being just plain nosy at this point! :hug If nothing else maybe the doc can help your tummy trouble.

It's not uncommon during the first two weeks to have loose bowels.

After that, constipation is the main complaint. Including flax seed meal in your daily menu takes care of that!
                  Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

I've never had problems with constipation, but I do have loose stools every now and then. I've been inducting since April, so who knows, For me it wasn't just a "Beginning" thing.

Hi Sirine ~ I have been on Atkins for a little over four weeks now and I had loose bowel movements off and on during the whole time. I read if you eat too much sweetener it could cause it. Cas
