On fitday, my carbs are always 13, which is not bad but I'd like to get this number up. Can anyone give me a list or tell me where I could find one of higher carb veggies?

Re: Higher Carb/Lower fat veggie?
Yeah, but how about just listing some of the ones you know are higher in carbs???? MUCh quicker than having each of us look up each individual veg on fitday...Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

Re: Higher Carb/Lower fat veggie?
Thing is, you still need to follow the rules of induction. 20 grams of net carbs a day is the max, not what you have to strive for. What is important is to eat the 3 cups of veggies from the acceptable food lists as per the rules of induction. If you're wanting more variety or more then that, move on to OWL! You might really like the veggie rung!

Re: Higher Carb/Lower fat veggie?
you will remember it better if you look it up yourself however since you don't want to check out the OWL stickie for 5 net carbs of rung one veggies and the smaller the serving size the higher the carbs in the veggie are.by the book atkinseer

Us mods can't be with you guys in your real life 24/7, so the best thing we can do is point you in the right direction so you have the skills and confidence to do this when you are out and about in the real world, right?

3rd mod, same answer. If you want more than 3 cups of veggies, or more carbs, you need to move to OWL. All of the *Induction* veggies are lower carb, so it's not unusual to not be able to hit 20 if you're following the rules.
You also didn't indicate why you'd like to raise your carbs. That reason might enable us to give you better advice.

Re: Higher Carb/Lower fat veggie?
Thanks anyway.
I now work out 45 min of cardio per day and 15-30 min weight training. I cook all my own foods. I have four kids at home for the summer. I do volunteer work. I keep track of everything on fit day.
To ask people who have already added high carb veggies saves ME the time. Having been a mod, I assure you that I know that you are not supposed to be with us 24/7. Nor do I need a mod 24/7. I simply thought that perhaps a shortcut would be nice.
I'll stay in induction and just add more spinach.Started Atkins 2d time 6/20/05

Re: Higher Carb/Lower fat veggie?
Are you eating enough calories? Above your bmr and below your amr? Many people that are feeling fatigued aren't eating enough overall.Originally posted by CherTLC4uJust thought maybe it would give me more energy. I have NONE. Never did have any.
Fitday says 1% 2% or 3% per day.

Maybe you should post your fitday so it can be reviewed by the Mods and old timers on the Review My Menu board.

Oh, look! You helped someone else on another thread!
"So 5 net carbs of jicama is 1 cup, 5 net carbs of raw spinach is an amount that rivals Mt. Everest. Don't forget, you can measure these veggies cooked. So 1 cup of cooked cabbage is about 5 net carbs."
