    I think I am gonna ditch the scale. Or try to weigh every other week. I am afraid that I am battling yeast as well. (spit test says positive) but I did lose a couple when I cut out cheese so I am kinda paranoid now. I need to avoid the scale. It is EVIL. That's it -starting tomorrow - no scale for 2 weeks. It's driving me crazy!!!

      I agree about the scale thing, I was looking at it every morning to see if I lost any weight, and I was getting depressed, knowing I haven't cheated once, and wasn't seeing any weight lost. I am going to just weigh in once a week and write that on my kitchen calendar, and that way it will give me inspiration to continue to see the weight loss every week, even if it is only 1 to 2 lbs a week. Keep up the good work.

          I just tried a recipe that is so good. I miss eating strawberry shortcake, since I'm in Phase II I can now eat berries. Hey trythis....

          1 low carb slice of bread on microwave safe plate.
          put butter or margarine on bread, then sprinkle with splenda and cinnamon. Make sure splenda and cinnamon is sprinkle on plate around bread along with the sprinkle of the mixture on the bread and butter. Put in microwave for 30 seconds to assure butter is melted. Then sliced 2 strawberries and put around 8 blue berries on top of bread. Top with whip cream. This is so good, taste better than strawberry shortcake to me. Enjoy....

            by the way, if y'all want to see how important inches are over the scale, go over to the Second Time Around forum. There's a sticky at the top where we are keeping track of our inches lost every 2 weeks. Read each post and you'll see some amazing stuff, including losing 15 inches and only 2 lbs....

              You are doing great! Theare is absolutely no reason to be disapointed! Keep it up! You didn't gain it overnight and you aren't going to lose it overnight!!!! remember this is a lifetime thing! You can do it!!!

                I have put away the scale!! I just get afraid because if I am not losing I want to know so I can try to fix it. But, with all of you here who are wiser than I am in this WOE and have been doing it longer, I will trust you. I just have to learn to measure consistently! Thanks for all the advice.

                  Everybody is different. Since early July I've lost 41 pounds. I am working out like two hours a day though and that doesn't include the walking I do on the job. My fat is melting off me but it could slow down anytime. I think everybody is different. Hang in there.

                    Atkins has gained this reputation for quick weight loss, I think the people that lose it quickly are the ones we hear about the most. But 2 pounds a weeks is goooood!!!

                    I've noticed that everyone seems to be slowing down over these summer months! Maybe it's the heat, maybe we aren't exercising as much. I am ready for some crisp, cool autumn days of hiking! I feel like I'm just cruising along until the weather gets better. The heat index here today is 105! It's even too hot for water aerobics!
