Hehe, Eliz...maybe if I had a significant other, and sex was the reward for me losing weight, I'd have reached my goal a LONG time ago It's funny how one can manipulate text in such a way on the computer. Had a hard week, thanks for making me smile!!!

Ok, now I'm a little wierded out! When I saw the name Stephanie on a post, I just got this weird feeling and thought of my cousin Stephanie. Then I noticed that you were from Michigan. She also lives in Saginaw. Your last name wouldn't start with an N would it? This would be just too wierd. She is the same height as you and probably weighs about the same, and is the same age.

          Hey, momtofour...
Nope, my last name doesn't start with an N, and I also don't spell my first name with a "ph" it's S-t-e-f-a-n-i-e....so I guess we're not cousins. But it's still super cool that we live so close!!!! So, how long have you been doing this way of eating? How's everything going so far?

Re: Goals for the next two weeks...I want to be held accountable

Hello Stefanie.. I was on Atkins 5 years ago and lost 37 pounds in 6 weeks. This time I have been on Atkins since April and lost 50 so far. Both times I got down to my current weight. I was doing great until this week. I have been stalled for over 3 weeks and was getting a little frustrated because I'm right at 200. My daughters birthday was on Friday and I indulged in her birthday desserts. So I'm still at 200 and frustrated with myself. I vow to not cheat again. I felt icky, bloated, and just plain terrible. To tell you the truth, the old way I used to eat just doesn't taste as good any more. It's hard to believe that you can actually alter your taste for food. Good luck to you, and my advice is to not cheat so that this becomes your WOL.

Not cheating EVER is good advice! My little "planned" two week cheat to break my stall (when I didn't even really know what a stall was) was what got me back to being over 200lbs, 3 1/2 years ago. At first I didn't like the food I was eating, but I ate it anyway, and then I liked it TOO much, and then I got comfortable with a boyfriend who didn't want me doing this woe. NEVER AGAIN, I say. NEVER!!!!
