I have been on induction since halloween. I know that you lose some and sometimes you stay the same for awhile, but I didn't lose anything for like 11 days then bam i lost 4 lbs in a week and now 10 more days with no weight loss. My hubby and I are eating about the same and he loses like 2-4 lbs a week EVERY week. I know i will lose soon but it is just depressing.

Re: Depressed
Not all bodies are created equal. In fact, we are all a little different. He is male, you female. His CCLL may be higher than yours. You may be more % fat than he, get less exercise and so on. Also, if you've dieted before, your body is likely more resistant to loosing the fat.
Have you posted your menu for review? perhaps there's something in it that is causing your weight loss to be more sluggish than necessary - some things affect some people and not others. If you don't have as much to lose, that can also make you lose slower.
In any case, you ARE loosing, (faster than I am right now, for that matter!) so chin up, and hang in there!~Susan

Re: Depressed
Bear in mind other things during the short term could be haunting you: The Scales and TOM, amongs other things. IF you happened to weigh while you were retaining excess water weight, you won't see as much loss. Likewise, if you happened to have been dehydrated when you did first weigh, you started with a minus against what fat you may actually have lost. Double whammy if you did both!
Try not to obsess with weighing - the numbers will make you seasick!!! LOL. Use a measuring tape and watch your measurements....~Susan

Re: Depressed
I know how you feel - I have kind of the same thing with 4 or 5 days and nothing then a few lbs. in 2 days. I think it is best if we stay away from those scales! It can be depressing. (For me though, when I see a loss of even 1/2 a lb. it just MAKES MY WHOLE DAY! - How can I stay away??) Ha Ha Ha....
Someone also mentioned to me that I may want to move up to OWL? Have you spoken to anyone about that or thought about it?
Nice to meet you by the way!! Looks like we are pretty close in start date, beginning/CW/and Goals - maybe we should be "buddies"?

Nosacrifice - I know you can't lose weight every day it can't be that easy. I still want to though. Keep up the hard work and it WILL pay off. Good Luck and God Bless!

Re: Depressed
Don't give up! I'm sure if you were to start a post and ask about it or have someone review your menu - the wonderful people here will be able to help!!
You can do it, there must be something going on or maybe you have a very high metobolic resistance?
Good Luck!!

Re: Depressed
Hi Tracie, here is the thread where it was suggested to me to move up. I feel the same way you do about having so much to lose.

Re: Depressed
I would consider moving to OWL. Even if you just stay with the veggie rung. You can always see if it helps. It is annoying that men lose faster then women(generally).Maggie(F) age 31

Re: Depressed
Not technically. But I wore a 40 3 weeks ago, and it feels about the same now. I dont feel as bloated a before, and they feel more relaxed, but a 38 would still be very tight.Originally posted by boonie stomperHave you taken your measurements?
I mean, I understand about inches but I can see in a mirror that nothing as of yet is happening.
Thank you for your post.
Best wishes,
Peter
