    Re: Depressed

i know exactly how you feel! I've been on induction for three weeks today and have only lost 5 lbs. I thought i would've lost so much more! I feel like throwing the towel in, but don't want to fail, once again.

I dont understand why i havent lost anymore weight, since i've been doing what im supposed to do on induction. Its so incredibly frustrating.

    How are you doing?

Hey Suz, thanks for writing. Well, nearly a month after that post, I have managed to drop about 2 pounds, which is better than gaining. In two months I've lost like 8lbs. No one can tell me why I am not losing, I am in good health, I am not retaining fluids, I just don't know.

I haven't given up because I actually DO feel better on Atkins, I have more energy and I am not hungry. I know that carbs are not good for me. But I just can't seem to lose weight like so many others on Atkins do.

      BUT, I'm still trying...

      You stay with it, too!

Best wishes, and let me know how you do.

Well done for keeping on keeping on
BTW how much weight are you wanting to lose? If you can add some info to your signature like height, start weight, current weight and goal weight it will give members some idea of how you are doing and they might be able to advise you better.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

            Re: Depressed

I am sure you will Suz if you stick with the plan
When you are looking at a hoped-for loss of 75 pounds it will seem to be an awful long journey, but it passes.
If you can make it an enjoyable experience it wont seem such a long drag, so what kinds of foods do you love? Try making lowcarb versions of your former favourites if they were highcarb ones. The guy and girls at the 'Food and cooking chat' forum here are have a wealth of cookery 'tweaking' ideas to share and love a challenge!!
If you can get into the mindset of 'I can have all these yummy tasty food choices' rather than the 'I cant have bread' you will find it less of a deprivation laong your journey towards better health and a slimmer YOU!!.
